alpha

Alpha continues in the church on Wednesdays , Wivenhoe on Thurs and also Dennis is doing one at work. Its a great course, though if you join after this ior next week you miss quite a lot. Theres food, a talk and discussion, and it's a great way to investigate Christianity.

University students

If you are new to the Uni  - Welcome to Colchester! We'd love to invite you to the church here  - click the image to enlarge it. We are on the west of town but trying to have an impact in Wivenhoe too and we would love you to be part of it. Our minibus leaves North towers at 10.30 and the Quay and 10.40

Alpha

  Our Alpha starts on Wed 26th Sept at 8pm at the church. We should be having a great meal, a brilliant talk 'Christianity - boring untrue and irrelevant?' and maybe a song and story or 2. It will be a really good evening and will introduce alpha which starts the following week and runs each Wednesday. All are welcome. Alpha is especially good for those seeking to understand Christianity, who are new to church or want to brush up on some stuff. The ads should be available Sunday. Come and bring your friends!

so grateful to Aaron and the team for leading worship at the last WWW - worship and word in Wivenhoe, last night. Awesome.

The plan is to offer Alpha at Jean's home in September. All welcome. It'll be Thursday evenings and start probably on the last Thurs of Sept. Please contact us for more details

Wivenhoe

Just got home from another great evening in Wivenhoe! Dicky spoke to us about Evangelism, something which a lot of us struggle with because we view it as a huge event that takes months of planning, when actually, as Dicky explained, we just need to be witnessing "as we go" in our daily lives.

As we prayed, we felt that the Lord was 're-comissioning' us to Go, to be lights in the world, that people will see our good deeds and praise Our Father who is in Heaven. (Matt. 5 v.16) As the song says, "Go in my name and because you believe, others will know that I live."

Thank you Dicky for challenging us to share the love of God with the people we meet. And thank you Lord that we have Good News to share!! 

Wivenhoe

We had a brilliant evening in Wivenhoe yesterday as we worshipped and prayed for the town. We meet each week at 8pm in Wivenhoe Methodist Church- it would be great to see you there.

it was glorious weather for the festival, lots of people wrote prayers and stuck them on the cross and we had loads of good chats with various people. Wonderful - should be some pics soon

thursday nights in Wivenhoe

Another really good evening in Wivenhoe last night. There werent quite as many of us but the worship seemed to go to a new level and a couple of people said it was the highlight of the week! Next Thurs Aaron is leading us.

We have a stall at the Art on the railings festival on the 2nd June so please come and see us - or offer to lend a hand.

we meet each week at the Methodist church for Worship and  Word and we've had some really good times as we have come expecting to encounter God and pray for the town. On 2nd June we have a stand at the Art on the Railings festival - from 10 - 2 in St Mary's. Here's a couple of pics from last time. Please come over and help us!
