Levites

Wow! Only one more to go!  Psalm drummers were great on Monday.  Thank you Dan, Michelle and team for all you brought. It was great to hear from the drummers perspective: communication - attitude - discipline, wonderful!  It was good to pray for the town too, we made a good sound calling the lost back to Father.  Did anyone notice anything strange with the lights? No? OK, must've been me!

Next Monday night Simon Rennie from York will be coming to teach from a "church Leaders perspective" hopefully it will answer some of those questions about the Worship team/Leadership relationship.
We're also hoping to see what the dance worshops have been up to over the last few weeks - should be good!

Thanks again for everyone who has been to these evenings in 2009. It has, without question, been the best attended ever.  We hope you have been blessed by it all.

Look forward to seeing you all on Monday.  Don't forget we're in the new building this time.

PS The first of the "equipping the leaders" happenend last night.  We had a great time looking at sound/group dynamics and then explored the heart and character of the worship leader.  Great group, great stuff!  If you want to join in the cost is £10 per evening. Contact Rob Here

Levites

It was so good to welcome Ryan from Dudley to lead last nights Levites. The old building was very full and we had a great time!
Next week the psalm drummers are leading us as we consider 'more than a rhythm' and the following week Simon Rennie is bringing a pastors perspective and so much more. More details here
and the Levites discussion board is here

Levites - June 09

Levites   Thank you everyone for coming along again on Monday night it was such an awesome time.  Thank you Lee and Sarah for the worship and also Dawn for such a helpful/fun workshop.  I understand the dance guys had a great time too.

Next week, 15th, we have Ryan Baker-Barnes from Revival Fires church in Dudley.  This church was greatly affected by several moves of the Spirit, the latest being from Florida, and the anointing seems to have outlasted that in the states as they still do regular meetings. Ryan will be leading worship and teaching on the prophetic side of the ministry.  It all looks to be a great night.  Please come prepared to worship and receive I'm sure God has great things in store.  There will also be opportunity to give financially during the evening as there will be some expenses to cover with Ryans travelling etc...
The dance workshop will not be happening this week to give the dancers a chance to come and hear Ryan.  if you are planning to attend and haven't already registered, could you contact us.  The building is getting quite full!

The Levites blog site is now under way with opportunities to ask questions and start discussions please check it out here  If you want to start a new question to be discussed then just contact us.

We strongly believe it has a positive effect on the town when the Levites take their calling seriously.  The style of worship that we offer at "Equipping the Levites" is probably very different to a lot of congregations that attend but we're noticing that our heart for engaging with Jesus seems to be stronger than any preference to style. It makes our time together so special!

Don't forget, parking on site for disabled and residents only, please use the car park along London Road or Cooks lane opposite.

Looking forward to the next 3 weeks

Rob

intensive

Intensive_508 Intensive_details_508 As well as the local guests for the intensive - Teresa L, Tim Abbott, Collective, Rob B, Simon, Kat and maybe a few more we have invited Ann from Norfolk. She will be with us on Tues night and hopefully Tues afternoon too. She is the woman 'in the crowd' who is mentioned in this clip and has come back form Florida with a desire to 'give it away to anyone who asks!'  Check out this 1 minute video.... Gap Year

Gap_year_cover As we approach the end of term 2 and the mission trip to Switzerland I've just seen the timetable for the last term of the Gap year - great stuff. The Gap year is such a good way of developing your spirituality, discipleship and ministry. If you can be available for three mornings a week we really recommend you look seriously at doing this course. As well as the input there's also a mentor, a placement and an overseas mission trip. It runs for an academic year - Sept  to June. Brilliant.

Novembers FLG

Flg_logo This month the FLG is combining with the Lesley Lee seminar at Gosbecks on 10th Nov from 10 - 4. Called the Kiss and the Cup it's based around the Song of Songs, stirring a bridal love for Jesus. Lesley has a powerful prophetic ministry and is leading this day conference at Gosbecks, as well as our Sunday night celebration on 11th Nov. The Saturday conference is open to all and costs £5 (free to FLGers)

gap year - equipping track

Gap_year_cover Gap year has got off to a good start. Yesterday was 'orientation', nothing about running through woods or over fields, just some things to talke on board for the year and some great worship. Today was the start of the New testament course - i never knew there was so much in it!

Gap year

Gap_year_cover It's looking good for the Gap year training programme, and we trust that it will be able to run as planned. It's not too late to apply to do the course . You need to be available Mon, Tues and Wed from 9 - 12 term time for the lectures, sessions and team stuff, and at other times by arrangement for mentoring, placement and ministry. Its a fun filled and powerful year, and a greta opportunity to grow in discipleship and ministry locally. more details here
