Discipleship groups

Theres a discipleship group leaders and hosts get together on Tue 16th Dec at 8 at the church. We'll be looking at some options for next term - we want to do a Sunday morning series on Proverbs - wisdom, integrity, wealth, friendship etc for which neil will produce some dvds each week. Instead of Alpha we are planning to run 40 days of purpose based around the best selling book and a Tuesday night get together at the church. Some groups could use the 40 days DVDs if they wish

Anyway, how are the groups going with the current Within Reach series?

Small groups

This week we restart the discipleship groups with the 9 week series that David Proudfoot has devised - the within reach challenge. Each week there's a dvd presentation from David (rather better quality than the disks neil dishes out) discussion questions, role play for the brave, and of course prayer for each other and our world. We're delighted to be starting some new groups this week too. Please join in, get involved and if you want more details of the groups please contact us

midweek

The small group leaders got together last night with David Proudfoot and we are excited about the prog for this term. There are a few changes to some groups and if you would like to join a group, now is the ideal time. Each evening we'll see a DVD featuring Davids great teaching, then its discussion, prayer and, for the brave some role play. Theres also some practical take home material that will help us reach our world. To join a group, or let us know whats going on please contact us

midweek discipleship groups

Our small groups start again on the week beginning 6th Oct. They're running the 9 week DVD based course that David Proudfoot has put together - the Within Reach Challenge.
As the church grows it's more and more important that the small groups work well and we are keen to encourage everyone to be part of a functioning group where we can learn and grow together, pray for and encourage one another. There are groups all over town. To find out more please contact us

a big new small group

The small discipleship groups are a really important part of our church life, and you are very welcome to join one - just contact us for more details of groups on any particular evening.

neil is starting a new group on Tuesdays at the church for anyone who isnt in a group - so it could be a large gathering!. The plan is to meet for June and July (except June 10 - the week of the business meeting) In short - if you are over 16 and not in a small group please contact us and plan to come along on Tues 3rd at 8 at the church. Should be a lot of fun. Granny cake included.

midweek

this week and next we have some dvds for the small groups following the series 'the cross the tomb the glory'. It's been great to concentrate on Jesus and the 'first importnace' things of our faith' After a one-off week in the groups they be meeting on the week of the 16th April as we are holding one of our Vision nights at the church that evening.

The groups are such an important pat of the church, please get involved with one of them. They are such a support and an opportunity to encourage each other in our spirituality and discipleship.
