The Awakening

The Awakening is an event that seeks to engage young people in passionate, sold-out worship of God. We want to awaken our young people to the realisation that God is real, present and POWERFUL! It is He that changes us, enables us and then commissions us with a mandate to revolutionise nations!

Although billed primarily as a youth event, The Awakening is open to anyone who is hungry for more of God and is wanting to press deeper into intimacy with Him. 

The vision is to organise and run these events monthly and ultimately to make them mobile, placing them in different towns. 

The event takes place on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Thurstable School, Maypole Road, Tiptree. An inter- church event, worship driven and spirit led with emphasis on encounter. Doors open at 7pm for 7.30pm start. Come hungry!!

Men's event on the 2nd October @7:30pm

At Kingsland Church we have a fantastic opportunity to reach out to friends and colleagues with the Gospel through a games night on the 2nd of October.

The evening will consist of FIFA 10, (The day of the release) followed by a testimony by renown football thug and Ex Arsenal hooligan Renton Baker (not Emmanuel Adebayor).

There will also be free buffet food a prize of £100 and a life size trophy to the winning team.

This evening is entirely free and is the ideal opportunity to reach out to our community so please bring friends.

Alpha - "Who Is Jesus?"

The first evening of this Alpha course is on Wednesday 30th Sept. Starting with a meal at 8pm in our old building. We will be discussing "Who Is Jesus?" Was he more than just: a man: a great human: a religious teacher? Join us on this revealing course to find out!

This weekend

The womens weekend is upon us - around 30 ladies are booked into the High Leigh conference centre in Herts fior a weekend of realxation, worshiip and prayer. Amanda is leading teh worship, Maria, Maggie and others are leading the sessions and it should be a great time. Please pray

On Sunday morning Neil is speaking, its the second in the 'Let my People Go' series under the title 'Whats your excuse?' looking at the 4 1/2 reasons Moses gave the Lord why he shouldnt work with him on this one. Thats 9.15 and 10.45. These services even better if theres a good number of people arriving before the start time - please try to be one of them! 

The evening service at 6.30 we are in Lukes gospel looking at the rich fool in Luke 12 who finds he cant take his full barns with him when he dies. The title is 'What you CAN take with you'

Alpha tonight

Our introductory Alpha meal is tonight - with the talk entitled Christianity - boring untrue and irrelevant? This follows a meal at 8pm and everyone is invited. Alpha itself starts next week with the subject 'who is Jesus?' - thats after another good meal of course

discipleship groups

The Discipleship groups start again properly this week - they are a really encouraging and supportive network of people who pray together for each other. we watch a short DVD that summarises the Sundays talk and all in an informal and spiritually helpful atmosphere. for more info - contact us
