Who let the dads out!
I hope that we would all agree when I say that we had a great time meeting up this morning. Thank you very much Rob for sorting out the breakfast for us and thank you Paul for the newspapers, croissants and posh coffee! 12 handsome fathers dragged themselves out from bed and with a gang of kids and babies we had quite a crowd. The next Who let the dads out is on the 28th of March and after a successful trial run we look forward to it. Please take some leaflets and get the word out as it would be fantastic to see some fathers from outside the church come along.

On Sun morning, 1st March, we've invited a guest speaker, Steve Cooper, for the next in our series on ancient life skills from Proverbs. Steve is the founder of Cry in The Dark, a charity that Beth works with in Romania and, from the Autumn, in Sri Lanka. They also visited Mexico very recently - see the travels page. Steve is speaking about our attitude to the poor
We will also welcome a couple of people with news of the Somerset walk of 1000 men in the autumn and the Good Friday outreach in Colchester
In the evening we continue our walk with Jesus through Luke's gospel and Neil is speaking on the woman who pushed through the crowd to receive her healing, and we will be praying for physical, emotional, social and spiritual healing as we too 'push through'
40 days of purpose
The front -runners have got to the finish line. Well done if you are one of them. For the last 40 days many of us have been reading the 40 days of purpose book by Rick Warren, some of us have read 40 chapters!! On 10th March most of the rest of us will have caught up and there's a get together at the church for everyone who has done the course. If you did it with us in 2006 and want to join in you are very welcome. 8pm.
