It's day 34 of the 40 day encourager booklet many of us received at the Within Reach seminar with David Proudfoot. Todays thoughts are around the way the cross breaks down the barrier between Jew and Gentile, of course that was vital for the church to become more than a sect within Judaism

This Sunday

On Sunday 2nd Nov we are starting a new mini-series - passion and the mission. Firstly its the passion and mission of God the father.
We are also launching our shoe box appeal for this year, asking people to fill shoeboxes as Christmas gifts for needy children. The first service starts at 9.15,  the second starts with coffee at 10.45

In the second service we heard the testimonies from 7 people who got baptized in the afternoon.  It was a great time and loads of fun swimming afterwards.  who wins the award for the biggest kid?? :)

What a day!!

Alpha

Really enjoying Alpha. Last night we looked at 'Why did Jesus die?' and had some amazingly open and honest discussion. Next week we are meeting even though it's half term and Jamie will be leading it. The title is meant to be 'How can I be sure?'

Baptism service - this Sunday

We love baptisms. This weekend, 26th Oct we have the privilege of seeing 7 people take the plunge. The plan is: During the second service we'll hear some stories from the people being baptised, and find out a bit mroe about baptism. Then you are invited to a soup and roll lunch. At 2pm we'll gather at First Strokes in Stanway to watch the baptisms and then join in a swim till 3. Please leave a comment or contact us to let us know if you'll be at the lunch
