There are some spaces left on the Minibus if anyone wants to join us for the recording of Godfrey Birtills new album. We will be leaving for Southampton in the middle of the afternoon on Tuesday 14th and arriving home sometime after midnight. Should be great opportunity to worship and pray and hear his latest songs. Contact Rob if you want a space on the bus.
Our baptisms happen after the 2nd service on Sunday 12th July at the grahams. Contact us for directions if you cant be at the service. Bring a picnic, your swimming stuff and a bat & ball and pray for good weather and a great afternoon together.

Sanctum - a sacred space for schools is running at the grammar school this week and the gilberd next week. This time it is in conjunction with the RE lessons and gives students an opportunity to say sorry, thankyou and please in an experiential and thought provoking way. The comments are fascinating and many of the young people are obviously able to connect with the various activities and spaces and a latent spirituality.

Thanks so much to Temi and Melchi who spoke to a record number of people at the early service yesterday. We than had an all age servcie - see pic below - looking at the temple 'building' and 'body' pictures of the church, in Ephesians.
Actually they are apples & pears because bananas would have been even harder - but that was the title of a book about this subject by Derek & Nancy Copley about 30 years ago. So no, the idea wasn't original (nothing new under the sun) but it made the point.

Our next mens breakfast is Saturday 4th July 8.30 - 10.30. These are great times of eating a hearty (why is it called that when it so bad for the heart?) full English breakfast, some worship and prayer for each other. All in a spiritual but laid back atmosphere of fun and genuine fellowship.
