Gilberd School

Hi everyone

Thankyou for all your lovely comments I will get back to about some of them.

I have just had the most amazing week in the Gilberd school with Collective. We saw yrs 7-11 in assembly and did loads of RE, PHSE & Dance lessons too. I'm totally knackered but very excited about this friday evening as we have the followup cafe at the Highwoods Community centre and over 50 kids put their names down PRAISE GOD!!! The concert was fantastic as over 250 pupils turned up and while there were  few small hiccups the night was a real success. Please pray loads for the cafe though cause we really want to see them make commitments. 

On a more personal note please keep praying for a new place to live and more sponsorship. I have discovered i need to have found more of this by the beginning of April because that is when I have to move out of my host family so it is getting quite urgent.

Anyway I will let you know how the cafe goes and our next mission in Bower Park School in Romford in a week or so. I'm away for a week with that mission sleeping on a lilo all week with the rest of the band in a communial house, so will defo need prayer for that aswell.

Kat's 1st entry!!

Hi everyone,

I'm sat with Tracie and Louise right now as they teach me how to use these strange blog things. My friends Steve and Jeni from back in Manchester would be very proud of me cause I vowed I would never use one of these sites;-)

Well Tracie has instructed me that I can tell you all my latest news so I suppose the first thing is that after a very shaky start we finally have all four band members in rehearsal!!

Previously Jayne (the old Essex Collective band member ) was off due to whiplash, this was not received by being thrown around by a bucking bronco but actually crashing her car into the central reservation on the A12!! Praise the Lord she is alive and back in the gym this week :-) Then Sophie (my old band chum from East Anglia Collective ) went down with a bad viral infection so that left Ally ( the new girl from Gainsborough ) and little old me.

Please pray for protection from these attacks. We totally believe that the enemy is not happy about our next mission which is in the Gilberd school (ohhh there's some bad teachers in that school he he) from the 20th-24th Feb, so please pray as we expect God to do some amazing things. Ooo if you want to come and watch us in action on our debut performance you are more than welcome to the concert on Friday 24th probably around 7.30ish at the school.

The other issue playing on my mind at the moment is this whole living by faith malarkey. If people don't know I'm not actually paid by CYO but live by sponsorship. On Sunday Robin talked about being kingdom financiers and I thank God for all those who are supporting this ministry already. However I really need more sponsorship as I'm running £100 short each month which the bank is loving but I'm hating.

Also to add to the pressure of the situation due to unforeseen circumstances I need to find a new host family this is likely to mean an increase in rent and travel expenses. I really need to find a place I can call home so potentially it will be for a year or more.  If you could help with any of my needs please don't hesitate to chat to me, and if you could keep these concerns in your prayers it would be greatly appreciated.

Anyway I know I have to lay this all on my beautiful Jesus so by writing this it kinda helps, I think that is probably enough for now, see you all soon:-)
