Hello
sorry for again being so bad communicators. It seems things become busier and busier for me and I need to get better organized really! We have managed to film our first TV show in swiss german! Very tiring, but great experience and I feel we have had some kind of breakthrough with getting national and having done something very pratically against walls between languages here in Switzerland.
We now think about a Show about German, as french speakers straight away think Germany equals Nazism. I'm very excited about it and feel there is a new step towards bringing cultures together and helping them understanding each other. There is also a project about aids - in Switzerland and Africa, as french speakers have little or no material for prevention. Hopefully, this will go on international TVs. Another project looks into Internet as a tool to bridge over the north - south gap with developping great learning tools and so on. We are also preparing for a show on violence with young people, tabagism, internet and mobiles...
Our first day of introduction into medias for teenagers was a good success as well and we hope to develop this into a regular activity. Our website has been made new and you can see a few pictures and extracts from our productions.
Personally: Jessica has finished her catechism and we had a nice little party. She talks a lot about what we experienced in Lexden last year, it did her a lot of good for English and spiritually and she'd like to come back... We'll have to think about that. She will have big exams at the end of the schoolyear and is very anxious about it. Thinking about why she is so anxious and having panic attacks led her to go deeper into grieving about Emmanuel (now that she is a grown up teenager, it seems possible and necessary to do it on an "adult level"). She has written down how she experienced things at that time, a very moving story and helping us to talk about things. She has sent it to the litterature competition of her school, we'll see what comes out of it.
Axel is settling in school and progressing well. He loves playing football and doing complicated lego constructions. This means lego all over the house and dirty trousers every day... Vanessa is doing well with reading and writing. She'll go to school in the neighbour village after this summer so she won't be in the same class as one of her brothers. Smiling a lot and loving everything pink and princesses, she also loves biblestories and has many questions about God. Kevin is very charming and loves several girls and playing with Axel. Much less into school than his sister, he nevertheless likes his teachers and still opens his mouth as soon as he is awake...
Hassan has had a little knee surgery but is fine again, so no excuse for not skiing next year. Lot of thinking about where to leed Teenergy next and how to deal with people accusing us of being a sect... Anne trying to survive as usual and enjoying being involved in politics in our village and in the school!
Finances: We are so greatful for the help Kingsland has given us over the years and having achieved what we have has truly been possible by your faithful support and love, so thank you so much! I can't count how many times this cheque has saved us in a critical situation... Thank you so much, and now, we feel it is about time to bring it to an end - but not our friendship - and that it should go to another place to help seed and bring forward fruit. Thank you so much! I have to go back to work, but love to hear from you!
Anne
