cre8 in Felixstowe

The cre8 team, including several Kingsland kids, recently spent a weekend in Felixstowe, working with three churches in the Walton area of the town. We stayed at Seaton Road Methodist Church, led workshops at St Mary's Church and Maidstone Road Baptist Church, then led a morning service at St Mary's. The theme of the weekend was Loudmouths, exploring what the Bible says about the mouth and the way we use it.

The vision of cre8 is to provide an opportunity for kids and teenagers (8-15) to develop creative arts skills in a Christian environment, and to learn to use them in worship. We run termly workshops in Colchester, and visit other churches around the UK to lead workshop weekends.

The dates for the next Colchester workshops are: 23 February, 21 June and 4 October 2008.

cre8 is run by Cantus Firmus Trust, a Colchester-based charity directed by Richard Hubbard.
